The thought of soggy filling stops you from trying. If you want to bake pie\, but the thought of it fills you with trepidation\, then this class is for you. I’ll show you how to make perfect crust. You’ll learn how to roll out the dough\, pre-bake a crust\, and also how to freeze pastry for future use. I’ll even teach you how to press in a graham cracker crust. After my demo\, you’ll be making your own crusts! It takes experience\, and you’ll have the time learn the technique and the feel in my kitchen. \nNext\, we’ll make two pies\, a classic apple\, and a lemon tart. You’ll learn how to do a crumble topping\, and also a lattice weave. DESCRIPTION:I’m flying down to Austin\, Texas! Lauren Scheuer and I will be in the Lone Star State for the Austin Funky Chicken Coop Tour. Join us at the Driskill Bar at 5:30 on Friday\, March 29. We know it’s a fancy place\, but\, we’ve never been. We’re tourists! On Saturday\, March 30\, we’ll be at Buck Moore Feed from 10 am until 2 pm (when we’ll skedaddle and try to see as many coops as we can.)
